From concept to 3D print, how KeyShot enables cutting edge, faster design
Jörg Schlieffers has grown up playing with Legos. As a teenager he discovered that there is a job ‘out there’ that allows you to design your own Legos as a product designer. Pursuing his dream, he studied design at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Braunschweig, Germany and Pratt Institute in New York and has since collaborated across the globe with clients for the last 25 years. He has worked in the corporate world for a decade as European Design Director for Symbol Technologies in the UK before founding Thinkable Studio in 2005. Thinkable Studio are developing award-winning consumer, medical and high-tech products for a diverse range of customers, from Fortune 500 companies to small startups. Recent adventures in wearables and Augmented Reality with WaveOptics culminated in their acquisition by Snap Inc. These days he and his team are talking to plants…
Optimise your files, optimise your time
Liam Martin is Director & Senior Artist at Momnt, a Nottingham-based Design & Visualisation Consultancy. He works almost full-time in Keyshot, producing high-quality CG images for clients, and creating KeyShot assets which are sold through Momnt's online store. Liam is also a part-time Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University. Liam will demonstrate how to set up complex scenes in KeyShot. Although often underappreciated, constructing files correctly and enhancing your workflow, can save countless hours in the design process. Join Liam for this live demo and feel free to ask questions in the Q&A.
3D and Modern Marketing
Alex Mann has spent the last 12 years working with 3D. He graduated with a 1st Hons in Architectural Visualisation from Bournemouth University and has been spearheading XO3D's ArchVis division; building our client base to include some of the UK’s biggest development firms and creating a platform for the XO3D name to grow and become the business it is today. He is passionate about international connection and bridging the gap between people through creative design and inspiring campaigns.
KeyShot for the social media age
Sam is an industrial designer with work spanning an eclectic range of industries; from gallery installations to 3D printed table lights. He also runs an Instagram and YouTube channel - sam_does_design - where he shares industry tips with the design community. From creating photo-real marketing assets to filming Keyshot tutorials on Youtube, product visualisation has become an integral part of his design process.

Workshop: A guide to Product Configurations
We wouldn't call product configuration in KeyShot a new feature any more, but many users still don't know about it or what to do with it - which is a shame because it is a great tool for many use cases. In this Workshop, you'll learn how configuration in KeyShot works and why you would want to use this amazing feature in your daily work. Starting from setting up your scenes and ending at the different output options available.
Workshop: Dynamic Realism in Renderings
In this workshop, our resident digital reality artist, Saskia Failla, shows you how to add some more realism to your renderings to lift them to the next level. You will learn how to prepare and import your geometry and materials, what to watch for when lighting a scene, and how to choose camera angles and image styles.
Workshop: Augmented Reality and KeyVR
Did you know the new and exciting world of Augmented reality is just a few clicks away? In this workshop, Saskia shows you how to prepare your KeyVR scenes and optimise them for different outputs like AR or web applications.
Workshop: Lighting your scenes
You'll need a basic understanding of lighting in order to create realistic renderings that look the part. Hazel will show you some best practices you can follow and build from to set up your HDRIs. Also, you will learn how to create and manipulate the different lighting features available in KeyShot.
