MTC

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) was established in 2010 as an independent Research & Technology Organisation (RTO) with the objective of bridging the gap between academia and industry – often referred to as ‘the valley of death’.

The MTC provides integrated manufacturing system solutions for customers large and small, across sectors as diverse as automotive, aerospace, rail, informatics, food & drink, construction/civil engineering, electronics, oil & gas and defence.

INNEO and the MTC have previously worked together on a collaborative ATI and Innovate UK funded R&D project, which involved the development of an Industry 4.0 demonstration factory focused on aerospace products and processes.

11.30 Bollhoff Digital Transformation – Design Efficiency with Creo and INNEO Genius Tools Marius Stols

Marius Stols

Senior MCAD Consultant, INNEO

After completing his engineering studies Marius worked in the manufacturing industry designing trains, and then joined the PTC reseller industry where his main focus has been to support the PTC desktop applications and also improving customer productivity by implementing best practises when using these products. He has been part for the INNEO team for almost 7 years supporting the INNEO GENIUS TOOLS, PTC and KeyShot products.

This presentation will demonstrate how the GENIUS TOOLS for Creo product from INNEO has helped Bollhoff reduce the time and effort spent finding and entering helicoil data information into the cad design model inside Creo Parametric for new designs. This will allow them to create manufacturing, quality and customer drawings from a single cad file, as well as export the 3D cad model into three different configurations for later use.

We will also demonstrate how we have streamlined the migration process of moving their legacy data from a database into Creo Parametric and Windchill using GENIUS TOOLS Modelprocessor. This application eliminates the requirement to manually retype all the design information into the cad model inside Creo Parametric.

13.30 Bollhoff Digital Transformation – Process Control and Automation with Windchill Richard Morrow

She now heads up the new XR team in the UK, where they provide support and guidance on the best way to create and present models as photo realistic visuals and animations, as well as stepping into the AR/VR realm.

In her presentation she will show you how to optimise the tools KeyShot has to offer to present models as photo realistic still and interactive images for use throughout the design process. She will demonstrate how you can use the animation tools in KeyShot to create videos linked to the CAD data available, to help create material for different marketing needs as well as other areas of the design process, such as assembly and training videos. She will also go through how Inneo’s NeoSpace software can be utilised to create training/servicing manuals.
