Dr Emmanuel Raptakis is Managing Director of Ascend Diagnostics, a UK-based company with the aim to disrupt clinical diagnostics by implementing state-of-the-art technologies to be seamlessly employed in the clinical lab. Dr Raptakis has a PhD in Analytical Chemistry Instrumentation from the University of Warwick and an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School. His industrial experience extends from various roles in multinational corporations to founding and growing start-up organisations.
Ascend Diagnostics is a UK based medical device company, designing and manufacturing analytical chemistry devices for use in the clinical lab as in-vitro diagnostics. Windchill and other connected products were implemented to enforce compliance with the latest ISO 13485 standard across the whole operation, from initial user requirements capture to manufacturing information delivery in the shop floor, to post-market service and maintenance.
Renowned 3D Automotive Designer Nils Piirma - will be leading a seminar showing you how to master materials and light on KeyShot.
Nils' day job is as a hardware engineer building data centres, but in his spare time he's a freelance designer with a fascination in CGI and Automotive topics and has been using KeyShot for several years. Nils is based in Estonia and this will be his first trip to the UK. Take the opportunity to come and learn from a master!
Nils will be leading a KeyShot seminar on 'The Mastery of Materials and Light' and talking about lighting, materials and their optimization and running through an animation demo to show how some of his renders were made.

Paul Haimes is the Vice President of Pre-Sales for PTC in EMEA. In this role he is responsible for leading teams of Pre-Sales Business Developers and Technical Specialists across PTC’s major geographies within Europe. Paul has a Masters degree in Industrial Design and a Bachelors degree from Loughborough University and after graduation, worked in Product Development for the Power Tool industry. Since joining PTC as a Pro/ENGINEER Application Specialist, Paul has held a range of managerial positions within the Pre-Sales organisation - initially, leading the UK team, expanding to Northern Europe and since 2006, as Vice President at an EMEA level. Working with customers throughout EMEA, Paul has over 20 years of Product Development experience. His key areas of expertise are Computer Aided Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management and more recently, Smart Connected Products and the Internet of Things.

A professional Chartered Engineer with 13 years’ experience in the Automotive Industry, including leading a PLM Implementation Project and managing the Engineering Systems team post-implementation. More recently, 8 years as Solution Architect / Technical Services Manager at INNEO UK, delivering product development solutions to Engineering and Manufacturing companies across many industry verticals.

Ralf has over 30 years’ experience in the PLM market and has been responsible for international engineering teams and technologies for over 20 years. He is one of the owners and CTO of INNEO Solutions GmbH and is a tutor at the University of Aalen, speaking about revolutionary new software Simsolid – the world’s first built from the ground up assembly solver and showing a live demo of what it can do.
David studied Economic Computer Science and now leads the XR Team at INNEO Solutions GmbH, responsible for many international customer projects in AR and VR.
