INNEO takes Creo 1.0 on the road

2804/2011

INNEO has just announced a 10-city road show for Creo 1.0. The long-time PTC partner expects more than 1,000 people to attend its tour as it travels throughout Germany. The show opens May 17 in Ingolstadt, home of Audi, and closes a little more than a week later in Meissen, home of Meissen porcelain.

What’s behind the whirlwind tour? Geoff Hedges asked Helmut Haas, CEO at INNEO, and Markus Hannemann, Marketing Director, to tell us more.

Geoff Hedges: Why a road show?

Helmut Haas: We have over 2,500 companies using PTC’s products across Germany, and we’ve seen exceptional interest in Creo 1.0. By taking Creo 1.0 to our customers and prospects, we can maximize the number of people who can see and discuss Creo 1.0 with us.

Geoff Hedges: With the release planned mid-June, aren’t these events a little early?

Helmut Haas: No, we’ve worked with PTC to get access and training on the Beta release of Creo 1.0, and the quality and reliability are good enough to demonstrate the release. We also wanted to show Creo 1.0 before the summer vacation period, so our customers can start to plan their evaluations and upgrades to Creo 1.0 once it’s released mid-June.

Geoff Hedges: What can participants expect if they attend?

Markus Hannemann: We’ve booked cinemas in each location. For a couple of hours at each event, you’ll  see Creo 1.0 live, see how others are reacting to Creo, and discuss how Creo can help in the product development process.

As you can imagine, we’ll be making the most of the theatre setting, including large screen live demonstrations of Creo and 3D models of the 2010 KTM Super Duke 990.

Geoff Hedges: That’s a motorcycle ….

Yes. KTM is an Austrian motorcycle, bicycle and moped manufacturer that’s been using PTC solutions for a long time. The model of the high-performance bike not only serves as a show stopper, but also helps us highlight Creo 1.0—especially Creo Parametric, the flexible modeling extension, and Creo Direct.

Geoff Hedges: Are the events focused on users?

Markus Hannemann: And managers. We’ll definitely be demonstrating and talking to 2D and 3D CAD users who want to know what Creo 1.0 can do for them. But we also plan to address managers looking for improvements in product development. In both cases, we want to make sure everyone gets a good idea of what Creo 1.0 offers and we want everyone to have plenty of opportunity to talk face-to-face with the team from INNEO.

Geoff Hedges: Have you already set the schedule and locations for the events?

Markus Hannemann: From the 17th to 25th of May we’ll be running events on the following dates and locations:

  • 17.05.2011: CineStar Ingolstadt
  • 17.05.2011: CineStar Bremen Kristall-Palast
  • 18.05.2011: CineStar Bielefeld

Geoff Hedges: How can people register for an event?

Markus Hannemann: Sign up at www.creo-live.de. And you probably want to do that sooner rather than later. The shows are free, and we’ve already signed up 400 attendees.

If you’re in Germany, INNEO welcomes you to sign up — see Creo 1.0 live, understand how it can impact your product development process, and also talk to experts from INNEO.
