Luxion, the leading supplier of advanced rendering and illumination technology, announced that INNEO Solutions GmbH will be their new KeyShot reseller as of today. As part of the agreement, INNEO will serve as exclusive PTC Pro/ENGINEER reseller in Germany, Switzerland and Great Britain for Luxion's KeyShot Render Software. INNEO offers full sales and technical support for KeyShot in the local markets.
KeyShot is an interactive raytracing and global illumination programme developed by Luxion for PC and Mac. It eliminates the complexity normally involved in photographic generation of images based on 3D data. KeyShot is the new name for HyperShot, which was the first interactive raytracing and global illumination programme, likewise developed by Luxion. The combination with simplest operation allows anyone dealing with 3D data to create photographic images of digital data within just a few minutes. The PC Version of KeyShot is capable of reading Pro/ENGINEER data directly via an interface specifically developed for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 3, 4, and 5. Additionally KeyShot can directly read other data formats, such as Solidworks, Rhino, SketchUp, Obj, IGES and STEP.
“We are looking forward to offering KeyShot to our customers”, says Helmut Haas, managing director of INNEO. “Luxion has developed a very simple and efficient process for photographic representation of 3D data. We are envisioning new possibilities for the entire industry, allowing people to exploit the full potential of 3D data, from the early concept stage to marketing. KeyShot is a very valuable supplement to our product portfolio, allowing us to meet the high expectations of our customers and offering significant advantage.”
“INNEO is an impressive enterprise with an equally impressive customer base”, says Henrik Wann Jensen, Chief Scientist at Luxion. “We are thrilled to see that INNEO has decided to add KeyShot to its comprehensive portfolio, offering the best rendering solution to customers. INNEO's commitment to excellent distribution and customer service provides us with an excellent partner helping us conquer the European Market.”
Luxion specialises in technologies for computer-based light simulation. We hold expert knowledge concerning computing of daylight (atmospheric scattering), light scatter by materials (BRDF and BSSRDF models), light transport algorithms such as Photo Mapping as well as real-time rendering technologies. We are offering consulting services and are developing specially protected applications for customers requiring software that is capable of precise computation of light scatter in complex 3D environments.
