Do you still have the time for a backup?

Backup in seconds during normal operation.

Backup and Disaster Recovery

While there seemed to be an abundance of time for data backup in the past, the situation has drastically changed in course of the last few years. The data volume stored by companies today grows exponentially.

The higher the data volume, however, the more time is required to run backups. Conventional backup systems generally saved the data over night, when there was no traffic in the network and server-based files were closed. But today, more and more systems operate and must be available 24 hours a day. For intance, it is quite unacceptable for web servers, data exchange applications and E-mail platforms to be offline several hours a day for backup.

Therefore, concepts such as the snapshot technology are employed, helping to narrow the time span required to a few seconds. The actual backup is performed subsequently without affecting the performance of running applications.

We offer suitable backup solutions provided by the leading manufacturers, be it

  • a centralised backup solution, even for virtualised environments,
  • backup within a Storage Area Network (SAN),
  • NDMP backup – (Network Data Management Protocol Backup) or
  • Backup-to-Disk solutions.
